Round, oval or half moon?

A fully round table needs as much depth as width: the 40 cm round table takes 40 cm out from the wall. If your gap is wide but shallow, the half moon table keeps the same 40 cm width in 32 cm of depth, because its back is flat against the wall. An oval table gives the widest top for its depth: the 45 cm oval one is 35 cm deep and still holds two drawers.

Small round tables for a narrow gap

Under 30 cm across, a round top holds a phone, a glass and a slim lamp, not much more. The 27 cm marble top table has no drawer at all, while the 30 cm drum has three drawers stacked down to the floor. For more tables under 35 cm wide, see our narrow bedside tables.

Height

The tables that stand on the floor run from 45 to 60 cm tall. The top should sit level with your mattress or a little below it: how to measure your bed. The oval wall mounted table is fixed at whatever height you choose.

Materials

Most are solid mango wood. Two have a marble top on a mango wood base; the maker calls it marble and does not give its thickness.
